When Technology Attacks

So my computer decided to stop working on me for a while. It was an issue of svchst or whatever over riding the explorer.exe program. The desktop background was all that was visible. For now, I have made a temporary fix. However, I'm still uncertain as to how it happened. A search on Google assures me of ... oh, about 200,000 different causes. "It's a virus", "It's a required update", ect.

So, what to do when Technology attacks? Well, for most problems, you can Google it, or you can have someone else with more experience look at it. But, what about the day when all Televisions, toasters, microwaves, blackberries and laptops decide to revolt?!?!?!?

I personally don't believe it will happen ... but just in case .

Revisions and Wenches

My notebooks are my personal outlet. I can express myself as I see fit. Who cares if I wnat to draw, write samll, use explicit language? I wonder why people pry into it....

Let's just say there's a woman I work with. She feels the need to know everything about everyone. She reads over my shoulder and then proceeds to criticize, edit, and alter what she sees. It's getting on my nerves.

In other news, I have begun massive revisions on my current work in progress. After much internal debate, I have to decided to keep the prologue (not usually a huge fan of them). I wrote it in present tense, so now I must translate it to past. Easier said than done. New Goal: Complete revisions by August 31st.

A Friend

A good friend of mine has a blog ... who knew! LoL. Honestly though, we had been out of touch for a while. I was surprised to hear from him. I posted the link of my blog to my facebook profile, and he commented back with his blog. I read it, I love it. Here's the link:

Plans and Such

So, I'm not one for planning ahead, but I'll give it a go. I plan on completing my first Novel before the end of the year. It's set locally in my home town. Boring place to set anything, really. The Novel isn't so much about the town, though, as it is about a murder mystery. I'd like feedback.

The main character is male. He was stalked for a period of three weeks before graduation. Someone close to him died graduation night. Almost two years later things start up again. A cryptic note is left on his car, his love interest is kidnapped, and he has to work with the sister of the deceased, who believes he was involved in her brother's death.

Seems like your run of the mill story, but I guess it's in the telling. So, what do you think?
